1. Pizza Hut Veggie Lovers Pizza This is a simple, straight from the menu vegan meal. Just make sure they don't put cheese on it and you are good to go. I should also mention Dominos also has a veggie pizza and they offer a gluten free crust as well. (I researched the Dominos gluten free crust when they first came out with it and it was vegan. I see now they have added honey to the ingredient list. Since I know a ton of vegans that eat honey I am leaving it in this article)

The original hand tossed crust at Papa John’s is vegan and so is their sauce. Just order your pizza without any cheese and you should be good to go. Their veggie options are ok but not amazing. I always put them all on mine with double mushrooms and double pineapple. As a bonus, their garlic dipping sauce is also vegan. No, it isn’t healthy for you but it is vegan. And it makes the pizza even more delicious in my opinion.

Chipotle has been on the cutting edge of fast food for years. They even went non-gmo which made a lot of people happy. The a lot of negative reports about their non-gmo practices started coming out and the public went negative on them. And of course that had some recall issues as well. All I can say is this is fast food. It’s going to happen. So if you are going to eat fast food just consider it part of the process.

The great thing about Chpotle is not only do they have several menu items you can make vegan with a couple of changes, they also have a vegan menu item you can order ‘as is.’ When the Chipotle Sofrita news came out that they were vegan a lot of people lost their minds. Vegans everywhere were flooding Chipotle. I’ll admit I had a few of them myself.

2. Chipotle's Sofritas When Chipotle's added this to their menu earlier in the year the internet exploded so you have probably already heard of it. I can tell you it is quite delicious if you haven't tried it yet.

When Chipotle’s added this to their menu earlier in the year the internet exploded so you have probably already heard of it. I can tell you it is quite delicious if you haven’t tried it yet. It’s also very large and very filling. I know some of my friends can’t eat a whole one so it’s two meals for them.

This is really good for vegans because there are a lot of dishes you can make vegan at the Chinese restaurant. This applies to most chains and independent restaurants.

Jamba Juice is a well recognized brand, especially on the west coast. I will throw in to this one that other parts of the country have similar kinds of restaurants. I know in the south we have a smoothie store called Tropical Smoothie. You can get a ton of vegan smoothies if you order them right, and they even have Beyond Meat vegan chicken for their wraps. You can substitute it in several of their menu options. And remember to ask for no cheese.

Truckers have a particularly hard time eating vegan as they travel from coast to coast. But one of the mainstays of the truckers routes is always Denny’s. Let’s be honest, Denny’s isn’t going to win any awards for really healthy food. But they do have something vegan on the menu, believe it or not.

5. Denny's Veggie Burger Denny's is known mostly as a greasy overnight restaurant for truckers. It's not even fast food in the technical sense but I included it because they are everywhere when you are traveling. You can get this burger and leave the mayo and cheese off of course. And then load it up with tons of toppings. You can get pretty creative with it!
